Minister of Labour Hassan Raddad met on Sunday with Head of the Future of Egypt Authority for Sustainable Development Bahaa El-Ghannam at the ministry's headquarters in the New Capital. The officials discussed strengthening cooperation in vocational training, social protection, and workforce preparation.
The talks centered on identifying and registering informal labourers working on authority-implemented projects. This effort aims to incorporate them into the Ministry of Labour's support and social care programs.
Officials also explored using the ministry's training facilities and vocational expertise to prepare young people for jobs within companies affiliated with the authority. Both sides agreed to finalize a formal cooperation protocol soon.
Additional discussions covered organizing awareness seminars addressing labour legislation, workplace rights, and occupational health and safety to foster stable working environments.
The Future of Egypt Authority maintains stakes in more than 55 companies and collaborates with over 1,000 private-sector businesses across its development projects, creating a high demand for a qualified technical workforce.
